A Zionist delegation composed of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Moshe Shertok and Nahum Goldmann was received today at the State Department by Undersecretary of State Sumner Welles. The subjects discussed by the delegation with Mr. Welles were not disclosed.
Speaking to newspapermen, Mr. Shertok, head of the political department of the Jewish Agency in Palestine, stated that his mission in this country was identified primarily with saving Jews from Nazi Europe. He expressed the opinion that the restrictions on the immigration of Jews to Palestine should be lifted.
