Nine hundred plots have been taken up in the farm cities in Palestine by Jews in England, thus disposing of all plots in the third farm city in Emek Zevulun, the Jewish National Fund here announced.
The Jewish National Fund has allocated the fourth area for the development of a farm city. The new site is situated on the seashore in Emek Hepher, between the Jewish centers of Nathania and Hadera, bordering the river Alexander and the prosperous settlement of Kvar Vitkin. The J.N.F. owns 30,000 dunams in Emek Hepher, part of which is reserved for town planning.
The Chief Rabbis of Palestine, Dr. Isaac Herzog and Rabbi Benzion Uziel, and the Chief Rabbis of Tel Aviv, Rabbi M.A. Amiel and Rabbi Y.M. Toledano, supported by the Chief Rabbi of the British Empire, the Very Rev. Dr. J. H. Hertz, have issued a call to British Jewry expressing their deep satisfaction at the establishment of Machleket Hacharedim, the Orthodox Department of the Jewish National Fund in Great Britain, through which observant Jews will be able to make their contributions for the redemption of land for religious settlers.
