Jewish Member of Canadian General Staff Among First to Land in Sicily

The Canadian press today discloses that Captain Samuel Lerner, of London, Ontario, was with the first troops to land in Sicily. He is serving with the Canadian General Staff in charge of operations.

Capt. Lerner is the son of David Lerner, prominent member of the Labor Zionist movement in Canada and well-known government arbitrator in labor disputes in the dominion.
