Palestine Jews Send Delegate to Turkey to Organize Relief for Occupied Countries

Dr. Joseph Klarman, a representative of the New Zionist Organization in the Central Committee for the Rescue of European Jewry, is leaving for Turkey to organize relief for Jewish communities in Axis-occupied Europe which can be reached from Turkey under present war-time conditions, it was announced here today.

Preparations are being made here for the absorption of 500 Jewish immigrants from Yemen who are expected to arrive within the next few days. Another 1,000 Yemenite immigrants will follow shortly.

Senator James Mead of New York, who is now on a visit in London, is making plans to proceed from there to Palestine, it was learned today.
