Palestine Jewish Council Will Discuss Relief Work with J.D.C. Director

The next weekly session of the executive of the Jewish National Council of Palestine will be devoted to a discussion of the work of the American Joint Distribution Committee in Palestine, it was announced today by Isaac Ben-Zvi, president of the Council.

The announcement was made after a report which Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European director of the J.D.C. who is now on a visit here, presented at today’s session on the relief activities of the organization, emphasizing that the J.D.C. is seeking to extend aid to Jewish refugees all over the world. Mr. Ben-Zvi expressed his thanks to Dr. Schwartz for his report. A reception was tendered Dr. Schwartz today by Israel Rokach, mayor of Tel-Aviv, where the J.D.C. representatives met with representatives of all Jewish refugee groups at which plans were proposed for the rescue of Jews from the Nazis.
