The full list of Nuremberg Laws, the basis for anti-Jewish legislation in Nazi-occupied Europe, will be introduced in the German-held section of Italy, which is nominally ruled by Mussolini’s puppet government, the official German news agency DNB reports today. DNB quotes an announcement by Dr. Giovanni Preziosi, I1 Duce’s Minister of State.
Reports reaching here today from Denmark state that 3,000 Gestapo agents reinforced by Danish Nazis are scouring the woods and homes of Denmark in an attempt to apprehend fugitive Jews. The Germans have placed a strong coastal guard along the Sjaelland and Kattegat making it virtually impossible for anyone to flee the country. Only a small number of individual Jews succeed in escaping and reaching Sweden.
