Reports from Bolivia reaching here today establish that the National Revolutionary Movement, the new party which has come to power there, is strongly anti-Jewish and that its organ La Calle has been constantly attacking Jews.
One report says that members of the new government party, including the present Minister for Public Works, had on several occasions provoked anti-Jewish disturbances “and made efforts to organize pogroms against Jews which were, however, prevented by the authorities.” Another report points to the fact that members representing the National Revolutionary Movement in the Bolivian parliament recently demanded adoption of a law providing for the expulsion of all Jewish taxi-drivers from the country. There are no more than ten Jewish taxi-drivers in Bolivia.
