Swedish public opinion fully backs the government’s action in offering a haven to Danish Jews and in assisting those who have arrived here, according to results of a poll just completed by the Swedish Gallup Institute.

The poll also disclosed that the persecution of Jews in Europe ranked second among the events which created the strongest impression upon the Swedish people in 1943.
