The Australian Council of Churches meeting today, adopted a resolution expressing its sympathy with the “Jews who are suffering bitter persecutions,” and voiced the hope that “the United Nations will take immediate steps to remedy these evils against the spirit of humanity.” The Council asked Australian churches to include prayers for the persecuted Jews in their services.
