The Jewish Agency for Palestine today announced that David Ben-Gurion, chairman of its executive, has withdraws his resignation and resumed work in the Agency’s headquarters.
“The withdrawal come as result of deliberations conducted in London between the delegation which the Jewish Agency sent to England and Dr. Chaim Weizmann, the president of the Agency,” the announcement stated.
Ben-Gurion’s resignation had been pending since October 26th, when he made an official announcement that he was not prepared to assume any responsibility for the present policy of the Jewish Agency. It was learned later that there were serious differences between him and Dr. Weizmann. The delegation now in London succeeded in reconciling these differences.
Dr. Emil Schmorak and Moshe Shertok, two members of the delegation, were received yesterday at the Colonial Office where they discussed with economic experts various problems concerning the present and post-war economic prospects in Palestine, it was learned here today.
