The Chief Rabbinate of Palestine today proclaimed Thursday, March 23, as a Day of Fasting and Prayer for the Jews in occupied Europe. The Rabbinate cabled its decision to rabbinical organizations in the United States, England and Latin American countries asking them to join in the observance.
