Those Jews who have not yet been deported from Budspest must remain in the city, while other citizens may leave if they desire, in view of the danger from Allied air raids, according to an announcement by General Voros, head of the Hungarian Air Raid protection Service, reported today by the German Transkontinent Press.
Meanwhile, the Budapest radio announced that the puppet government has issued a decree providing for the immediate discharge of all Jewish employees by October 1. Fifty percent of a firm’s Jewish workers must be discharged at once and the remainder by the end of September. All professions are to be cleared of Jews by May 31, the decree orders.
