The American Representation of the Jewish Socialist underground movement in Poland today issued a statement protesting against the sentences imposed by a Polish court-martial on 21 Jewish soldiers who left the polish army because of anti-Semitism and applied for admission into the British forces.
The protest emphasizes that the Jewish Socialist Party "Bund" has always called on the Jews of Poland to join the ranks of the Polish Army. The trial of the Jewish soldiers has proven that the reactionary elements in the ranks of the Polish armed forces are still actively and freely spreading anti-Jewish propaganda, the protest says. It demands, therefore, that the verdicts issued by the court-martial be annulled, that proceedings be started against those guilty of spreading anti-Semitism in the Polish Army, and that the Polish National Council issues a law proclaiming anti-Jewish propaganda a criminal offense.
