A dinner marking the forthcoming founding of an agricultural settlement n Palestine in honor of the late Lord Wedgwood, “father” of the British Labor Party and life-long champion of the Zionist cause, was held tonight at the Hotel Commodore here with more than 1,200 representatives of American labor unions and Zionist groups in attendance. Matthew Woll, vice-president of the American Federation of Labor, Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Judge Morris Rothenberg, Rabbi Israel Goldstein, Hayim Greenberg and a number of Jewish labor leaders spoke.

The Wedgwood Colony will be established in Galilee, in the vicinity of two settlements which were founded, thanks to the participation of the American labor movement, in the name of Leon Blum, former Premier of France, and in tribute to the memory of the late Louis D. Brandeis.
