Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, has arrived here from Italy and North Africa to confer with officials of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration on problems concerning Jewish rehabilitation work in the Mediterranean area. Dr. Schwartz expects to proceed from here to Palestine and Turkey in connection with J.D.C. relief activities.
A group of 200 Greek Jews are reported here today to have reached Aleppo en route to Palestine. Their transportation is being financed by J.D.C. funds.
