Jews in the liberated Savoy section of France were notified to report at the various town halls and to give up their identity cards stamped with the word “Jew” in exchanges for the usual identity documents given all citizens, it was reported here today.
The report said that all anti-Jewish measures in this liberated port of France have been abolished by order of the President of the Liberation Committee.
