The 14th Palestine-wide Jewish medical conference opened here today to discuss ophthalmological, endemical and epidemic diseases. Chief speaker at the opening session was United States Admiral Charles Stephenson who advocated that more attention be paid to preventive medicine, “so that your gorgeous hospitals will be half-empty and the population will be healthier and live longer.”
