Returning service men will be given free membership in orthodox Jewish synagogues and will receive free employment aid and other assistance on a non-sectarian basis, according to a resolution unanimously adopted by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America at its first quarterly meeting of the current season. The resolution was introduced by William B. Herlands, former New York City Commissioner of Investigation and a Vice-President of the organization, which represents the orthodox synagogues throughout the United States.
