Palestine Seen As Focal Point of Post-war Air Traffic; Urge Jewish Expansion

Palestine, after the war, will remain not only a most important focal point for international air traffic in the Middle East, but some of the most vital new Empire air lines may use Palestine’s main airport as one of the few stopping places on their inter-continental long distance flights, it is believed by competent quarters here.

The British Overseas Airways plans to resume flights to India and the Far East by way of Palestine as soon as possible. The same is expected of the Dutch KLM line. It is doubtful that the Italian or Polish airlines will resume international flights for some time to come, and, therefore, certain Jewish circles are advocating that the Palestine Jewish community take steps to gain a place for itself in this international air traffic. They urge immediate expansion of the existing Jewish Air Company.
