There is a possibility that the 1,000 Polish Jews interned in Shanghai by the Japanese may be able to leave there with the assistance of “international organizations,” Polish circles reported today.

It is understood that at the suggestion of the Council to Rescue Jews, which was established by the Polish Government-in-Exile several months ago, the Government has taken certain steps, the nature of which cannot be disclosed at present, to protect the Polish Jews in Shanghai and to secure their evacuation.
