The Polish Government-in-Exile is considering adoption of a bill making anti-Semitic propaganda a criminal offense, Premier Tomasz Arciszewski said today in a statement to the press. Such legislation has been introduced in the Polish National Council by the Jewish deputies Dr. Ignacy Schwarzbart and Emanuel Szerer.
Arciszewski stated that if Jews are to enjoy full equality in post-war Poland, they must be admitted freely to all positions in political and economic life and must be given every chance for employment in the government service, factories, mines, other industries and in agriculture. “There can be no barrier between Jews and Poles in Poland,” he continued, “and the government over which I preside will make no discrimination whatsoever.”
