House majority leader John W. McCormack and House minority leader Joseph W. Martin Jr. today told a delegation of representatives of fifteen national, civic, labor and religious organizations, headed by Sidney Hollander of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, that they favored enactment of a permanent Fair Employment Practices Commission with enforcement powers. The House bill, a non-partisan measure introduced by six Republicans and six Democrats. is scheduled to be reported out of the House Labor Committee on February 13.
