The Norwegian Government-in-Exile today asked the government of the Soviet Union to investigate the fate of Norwegian citizens, including 1,000 Jews, who were deported from Norway to Poland by the Germans.

The deportees, especially the Jews, were sent by the Germans to slave labor in the salt mines in the Katwice district which was recently liberated by the Russian Army.
