Bloodshed in Palestine can be averted only if America uses her great moral influence to make Jewish Statehood a United Nations war aim, Dean Alfange, leader of the Liberal Party, warned last night addressing a Zionist meeting at the Pythian Temple, attended by more than 1,500 persons.

Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, said that it should not be necessary for the United Nations to wait until the end of the war to declare themselves in favor of unrestricted mass immigration into Palestine with a view to Palestine’s reconstitution as a Jewish Commonwealth. The meeting adopted a resolution asking President Roosevelt to take up with Churchill and Stalin “the urgent need for a Jewish Democratic Commonwealth.”
