The House of Representatives, by a vote of 182 to 113, today endorsed Rep. Samuel Dickstein’s resolution autherizing the House Immigration Committee to study postwar immigration problems.
Rep. John Rankin opposed the resolution declaring that Dickstein, who is chairman of the Immigration Committee, should not be empowered to conduct the survey. Rep. Koah Mason of Illinois supported the resolution on grounds of what he termed necessary revision of post – war immigration quotas.
