A plea by Jewish women’s organizations in England that the British Government transfer Jewish orphans in concentration camps in Europe to Palestine and admit them outside of the immigration schedule was rejected today by Colonial Secretary Oliver Stanley.

The request was made by a delegation headed by Mrs. Israel Sieff, president of the Women’s International Zionist Organization. Col. Stanley replied that no category of Jewish immigrants can be excluded from the regular immigration quota for Palestine, and that the Jewish Agency can, if it wishes, bring in the Jewish orphans under the immigration certificates still outstanding under the White Paper.
