Leo Kesner, Jewish Writer, Dies in Philadelphia

Leo Kesner, well-known Jewish writer and editor of the Philadelphia edition of the Jewish Daily Forward, died here today after a prolonged illness. He was 59 years old. Born in Bukovina, he studied in Austria and secured his Doctorate of Philosophy at Vienna University. He came to the United States shortly before the outbreak of World War 1.
