A “Jewish Committee for Relief,” which will work with the Joint Distribution Committee, was established here today. It is planning a drive for funds to assist in the relief and rehabilitation of Jews in Europe.
Attending the organizational meeting were representatives of all major groups in the Uruguayan Jewish community and Jacob Lightman, JDC representative in South America.
