Medical supplies, surgical instruments and bandages valued at $10,000 were flown last week to the destitute Jewish community in Czechoslovakia, it was made known today by Dr. Joseph G. Hyman, executive vice-chairman of the J. D. C.
“The shipment was flown from the Swedish capital via London and was received in Prague with great enthusiasm in view of the urgent need for medical supplies,” the statement said. “In addition, the shipment contained two tons of marmalade, five tons of vegetable fats and 1,700 pounds of dried milk.”
