Argentina is planning an immigration quota system patterned after the one now in use by the United States with the exception that the largest quotas would be assigned to Latin countries followed by Saxon, Scandinavian, and Slav nations, in that order, while German immigration will be forbidden. Immigration of Jews will be guided by their individual nationality.

Government representatives today attended the opening by the Jewish community here of a communal building the erection of which cost over a million pesos. The building will serve as a Jewish community center and will house the rabbinate and the offices of several Jewish institutions.
