The filibuster in the Senate against the FEPC bill continued today, led by Senators Maybank of South Carolina and Eastland of Mississippi.

Eastland said the bill would give preference to minority groups over veterans of the Anglo-Saxon race. He attacked immigration from eastern Europe, saying that it had introduced into the country the influence of a school of thought from that area which would destroy our system of jurisprudence.
