The greatest part of a transport of 245 cases of medical supplies received here by the Joint Distribution Committee has been sent to Hungary where many Jews are seriously ill, particularly with tuberculosis, the organization revealed here today.

A consignment of 20 freight cars of matzoths and other Passover supplies from America destined for Hungarian and other Balkan Jews has been sidetracked at Istanbul because of a shortage of rail facilities. The JDC at Bucharest is attempting to have the shipment routed through Rumania.
