Michigan’s first Christian Conference on Palestine concluded here tonight, after hearing outstanding Christian leaders from all parts of the country warn that the peace of the world will be threatened unless Palestine is established as a Jewish National Home. The conference attracted state-wide attention.

Participating in the conference were university, women’s, youth and church groups. In all, there were forty separate gatherings in churches, colleges and community centers. Several universities arranged special assemblies to hear guest speakers on Palestine.

Speakers included Dr, Abba Hillel Silver, Rep. John Coffee, Mrs. Walter C. Lowdermilk, Countess Marie Tolstoy, Sen. Warren Magnuson and many other prominent statesmen, educators and communal leaders.
