Palestine police have received no complaints from Jews that pressure is being exerted on them to prevent their leaving the country, the Government’s public information officer told a press conference today. During the hearings of the Anglo-American inquiry committee here, several of the members quarried the witnesses concerning such charges which, they said, had been brought to their attention.

The committee members, who left for Switzerland today, spent their last few days here visiting local institutions, such as the Hebrew University. The lawyer members of the group, including Judge Joseph Hutcheson, Sir John Singleton and Bartley Crum were tendered a reception by the Jewish Bar Association. Prominent Palestine jurists, Jews, Arabs and British, attended.
