The Jewish National Council today sent cables to British Premier Clement Attlee and President Harry S. Truman, urging the immediate release of the Jewish immigrants who were arrested at La Spezia on April 4 when attempting to board a ship for Palestine.

The National Council also asked that permission be given to the emigrants to continue their journey to Palestine.
