330 Churches in Wilkes-barre Observe “community Cooperation Day” to Aid UJA Drive

Clergymen of 330 churches in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., yesterday observed “Community Cooperation Day” as part of the city-wide drive to aid the United Jewish Appeal campaign for 1946.

Clergyman of all denominations called upon their congregations for contributions to alleviate the plight of Jewish survivors in Europe. The non-sectarian drive in Wilkes-Barre is directed by a committee composed of Protestant, Catholic and Jewish spiritual leaders, headed by Charles Weissman.
