President Truman told his press conference today that there have been no concrete developments yet toward implementing the recommendations for admission to Palestine of 100,000 displaced Jews in Germany.

He referred to the commission which has been sent from here to England to discuss this matter with the British Government, but declined any comment at the present time.

The President said that the United States Government does not contemplate any steps in connection with the ex-Mufti’s appeal for sanctuary in Egypt. Asked whether he regards Husseini as a war criminal, the President replied that he did not know enough about the case to give an intelligent answer.
