Thirty-three Torahs were today distributed by the Joint Distribution Committee to various Jewish communities in France whose synagogues were destroyed by the Germans, at a ceremony at the Rothschild Synagogue in Paris. Many of the scrolls were donated by the Mizrechi organization in America.
