A Hungarian Jewish Association has been formed here at a meeting attended by Jews from Budapest and other cities and towns throughout the country.

Dr. Istvan Foeldes, newly-elected acting president, said the organization was formed as a central body to present the united voice of the Jewish community in all matters dealing with the government. He said the program of the association included reconstruction of Jewish life and culture in Hungary, bringing home Jewish war prisoners, fighting anti-Somitism and tightening the bonds between Hungarian Jewry and the Jews of the whole world.
