Funeral Services Held in New York for Sidney Matz, Killed in Plane Crash

Funeral services were held here today for Sidney Matz, well-known New York businessman and philanthropist, who was killed last week when his plane, which he was piloting, crashed in the state of Washington while he was on a business trip.

Eulogies were delivered by Judge Meier Steinbrink, chairman of the Eastern Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League; Robert Szold, co-chairman of the American Economic Committee for Palestine; Edward A. Norman, president of the American Fund for Palestinian Institutions, and others. The honorary pall bearers were headed by Prof. Albert Einstein.

Mr. Matz was a founder and director of the American Economic Committee for Palestine, on the advisory board of the American Fund for Palestinian Institutions, a founder and trustee of the Palestine Symphony Orchestra and was active in other Jewish organizations.
