Warsaw Radio Broadcasts Message by New York Mayor Condemning Kielce Pogrom

The voice of New York City’s Mayor William O’Dwyer has been heard from Warsaw over the Polish radio in protest against the pogrom in Kielce and warning the Polish people against the recurrence of the outrage, it was revealed today by the World Jewish Congress.

This is the first time in Polish history that a Mayor of the City of New York spoke to the population of Poland. The message, obtained by the Congress and transmitted to Poland, was broadcast at the orders of the Polish Government.
