Visaless Jewish Immigrants Believed to Have Landed in Palestine; Police Conduct Search

A group of visaless Jewish immigrants are believed to have slipped through the British blockade of Palestine and landed last Saturday at Wadi Zarka, near the Jewish fishing settlement of Sdoth Yam, police circles here said today, explaining the search conducted by troops and police at Sdoth Yam yesterday.

The Jewish National Council of Palestine has embarked on a campaign to raise $400,000 immediately to finance Jewish immigration to Palestine regardless of the restrictions imposed by the White Paper of 1939. The funds will be collected from all-Jewish municipalities and local councils of Jewish communities throughout Palestine.
