The Jewish Democratic Committee of Rumania has requested the government to submit to its delegation at the Paris Peace Conference a document proving that part of the gold and treasure stores seized by the Allies in Hungary is the property of Transylvanian Jews, it was announced here today.

The document in question is a secret order signed by Finance Minister Remany Schneller, who was a member of all the pro-Nazi cabinets in Hungary, instructing the Transylvanian authorities to inventory the possessions of the Jews imprisoned in ghettoes there and to ship their jewelry to the Budapest treasury. The committee believes that this jewelry is part of the hoard impounded by the Anglo-American forces.
