Pioneer Women’s Organization Launches Drive for $1,000,000 for Palestine Work

The Pioneer Women’s Organization of America today announced that it has adopted a budget of over $1,000,000 for the coming year. Of this sum, $650,000 will go for the rehabilitation program of the Working Women’s Council in Palestine, $250,000 for the Child Rescue Fund and $200,000 for the Jewish National Fund.

The announcement was made by Miss Dvorah Rothbard, leader of the organization, at a luncheon given in honor of Miss Rivka Yoffe who just arrived from Palestine as a delegate of the Working Women’s Council. Miss Yoffe reported on the achievements of the 70,000 organized Jewish working women represented by the Council.
