American Legion is Asked to Favor Admission of Displaced Persons

An appeal to the American Legion to take cognizance of the plight of the displaced persons in Europe and favor the admission of a portion of them into the United States was made here by Rabbi Solomon A. Fineberg, director of the Community Service Department of the American Jewish Committee. The appeal was made before the Legion’s Conference on Housing at which Rabbi Fineberg appeared as a representative of the Jewish faith.
