Lieut. Gen. Sir Evelyn Barker, British commander in Palestine, who is to be transferred from his post on Jan. 31, returned here today from a two-week visit in Britain.
Reports from London say that some members of the Cabinet advised that Barker not return because of the hostility between him and the Jewish population, but they were overruled by the Imperial General Staff.
A Jewish Agency spokesman said last night that the non-cooperation campaign was still operating. Jewish members of government bodies will not participate in their work and funds will continue to be raised to finance immigration of visaless Jews.
