Union, Manufacturers Ask U.S. Government to Admit Skilled Dp Needle Workers

The Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America will ask the State Department to admit to the United States skilled needle trade workers among the European displaced persons, it was announced here today. According to a joint statement issued by Jacob S. Potofsky, head of the Union and Raymond H. Riess, for the manufacturers, the move is designed to ease the acute manpower shortage in the industry.
