The Swiss Government has agreed to admit 200 displaced Jews from Germany, Austria and Italy to take a six-week course at an ORT training school, the organization announced today.
The Jews will become instructors in ORT schools in the three countries from which they come. The first group of fifty will be trained by Swiss experts in metal welding, machine work and lock work. Tailors will also be instructed in the manufacture of men’s clothing.
