A Jewish student at the University of Cluj was severely injured today when assaulted by seven anti-Semitic students. Police are reported to have identified the assailants.

Jewish circles here are concerned with anti-Semitic demonstrations which have taken place during the performance of a play “The Syringe” by Tudor Arghezi, winner of last year’s national poetry prize. The play features two villains with Jewish names.
