Truman Nominates United States Delegates to Session on Palestine

President Truman today nominated Warren R. Austin as American delegate to the special session of the United Nations on Palestine, and Herschel V. Johnson as alternate. Auetin is the United States representative on the Security Council and Johnson is his alternate. The nominations will go to the Sanate for confirmation.

From London it was reported today that Harold Beeley, chief Foreign Office erpert on Palestine, and John Martin, Assistant Under-Secretary in the Colonial Office’s Middle East Department, will go to Lake Success to strengthen the British delegation at the Palestine session.
